make new friends or invest in current ones?

I had a great time out with work friends! There was another event tonight that I wanted to go to but didn't. I was considering, should I try to increase my reach, or invest in the relationships I have already? I went for depth instead of breadth tonight, I think it was worth it. Overall, work is great, friends are great, family is great, and I am tired 🙃
